Ward Komers
A longtime resident of the greater Los Angeles area, Ward Komers earned his associate of science in construction technology from Ventura College in 1994 and his bachelor of arts in economics from the University of Southern California in 1997. Over the course of his career, Ward Komers has founded and led the enterprise human resources software company NEOGOV, directed administrative services for a city in Southern California, and served as chief executive officer of the business consultancy Dx Collective Enterprises.
Ward Komers has served as city treasurer and finance director with the City of Adelanto since 2018. His accomplishments in this position include reducing overhead costs by half while maintaining high levels of service. He also established the cannabis excise tax compliance program, to produce roughly $3 million in annual revenue. To inform his work, Mr. Komers holds active membership in several organizations, including the International City/County Management Association and the Government Finance Officers Association.
